Jeff Guinn
Certified Business Intermediary

Jeff Guinn built LGI Business Brokers utilizing a lifetime of business experience and expertise. His experience began when he was age 12, working in the family lumber and home building business. He continued in the family business until age 23 when he operated several businesses including a retail hardware store, video store, tanning salon, and an ice manufacturer. He has been self-employed since 1981, and has been a business broker since 1987.

Mr. Guinn earned the title of "Fellow of the IBBA" from the International Business Brokers Association, a title that only 51 individuals hold nationwide. Mr. Guinn's background in business ownership allows him to appreciate how small businesses operate. He has shared his knowledge through several articles on franchising versus start-up businesses written for local business journals. Mr Guinn also lectures frequently at local colleges on business ownership and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Guinn is very active in the Boone County business community through the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. He held the position of co-chair of the Missouri Business Expo, and was President of the Lions Club. He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1987. He is a charter member of Mid-Missouri Connections Club, an active member of International Business Brokers Association since 1987, and Certified Business Intermediary since 1994.

On the personal side Mr. Guinn has been a resident of Mid-Missouri his entire life, and has lived in Columbia since 1987. He is married, has three kids, a 11 year old (John) 5 year old (Luke) and 2 year old (Kate). Mr. Guinn is also an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Columbia Quarterback Club. He has been a Mizzou Tiger Fan since 1965.
